Operation PAR has earned a well respected presence in Pinellas county since 1970. This non-profit organization offers comprehensive addiction and mental health counseling services to thousands of individuals. Their fees are set on a sliding scale basis and are based on a person’s ability to pay. In addition, most services are approved to be covered by insurance and Medicaid. PAR programs are licensed by the state of Florida and have international acceptance through CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
How the Spring Hill Addiction Facility Can Help
Very recently, PAR opened up a “MAPS” Spring Hill treatment center. MAPS stands for “Methadone Assisted Program Services.” The name is a little misleading from the standpoint that in addition to Methadone Maintenance and Methadone Detox, the PAR program is also well experienced with Buprenorphine and Suboxone. All of these substances are used in connection with addiction to opiates, pain pills, heroine, Oxycontin, etc. The PAR facility’s “Medication Assisted Patient Services” are complimented by an individualized treatment plan and regularly scheduled counseling by their highly trained staff.

Criminal Charges and Addiction
If you are facing a Pinellas county drug possession charge, prescription fraud, doctor shopping, drug trafficking or a violation of probation, your chances of achieving the best possible outcome can often be enhanced by seeking drug treatment. Regardless of which Pinellas county judge is assigned to your case, your proactive approach in voluntarily addressing your addiction issue will be well received.
Coming to court with evidence of drug treatment could better your chances of getting a probation sentence as opposed to jail or state prison. In some cases, you may be deemed a better applicant for entering the Pre-Trial Intervention Program (PTI) or receiving a withhold of adjudication. This in turn, would circumvent a formal conviction and cause you to avoid the impact of a felony conviction. Thereafter, you may be eligible to have your Pinellas county criminal arrest records sealed or expunged.
Drug Court and Treatment for Addiction
The lawyers in our office routinely represent clients in Pinellas county’s special Drug Court division. They are also members of the Florida Association of Drug Court Professionals. Having your case transferred to the Pinellas Drug Court (Division N-10) often results in an opportunity to avoid being a convicted felon. Unlike a regular felony division, the Drug Court is focused on rehabilitation, rather than punishment. We can assist you in obtaining the proper assessment and in some cases get you started in treatment before your upcoming court date
